Privacy policy

1. Who is responsible

Melli Martens, contact@melli-lab.de. SC Portal is a private, non-commercial hobby project run on the operator's own server in Germany.

2. What the portal does

SC Portal is the one sign-in for our Star Citizen tools (Monolith, Datarunner and later ones). You sign in here once; the apps you have access to receive who you are from the portal.

3. What we process and why

Signing in with Discord. Discord tells us your Discord user ID and username. We store the user ID and your display name; the avatar is neither stored nor shown. We only request the identify permission and never receive your email address, your servers or your messages. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

Your account. Your roles in each app (given by an admin), whether the account is suspended, and an optional in-game handle you enter. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

What apps receive. When you sign in to an app through the portal, it receives your account ID, display name, Discord user ID, in-game handle and your roles. Each app then keeps its own data as described in its own privacy policy.

Technical data. IP address, time of request and browser information are processed briefly to deliver the site and protect it (rate limiting, sessions). Changes by admins (roles, suspensions, sign-in clients) are recorded in an audit log, kept for 12 months. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Server logs are size-limited and overwritten automatically.

Cookies. Only the cookie that keeps you signed in. No tracking, no analytics, no advertising.

4. Your rights

You can see your data on your profile page and delete your account there at any time; your sessions and roles are deleted with it. You also have the right to access, rectification, restriction, objection and data portability (Art. 15–21 GDPR) — write to the contact above — and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

5. No third parties

Fonts are served from our own server. Apart from the sign-in with Discord (which you start yourself), your browser doesn't talk to anyone else through this site.
